Tucked into peaceful Pembrokeshire farmland just a 10-minute drive from Pembroke, Owl Barn Escapes is a tiny site with direct walking access to the Wales Coast Path – making it ideal for exploring dramatic coastal landmarks like Stack Rocks, the Green Bridge of Wales and Saint Govan's Chapel on foot. Gorgeous beaches including Barafundle Bay and Freshwater West are an easy drive away, while surfing, kayaking and fishing are all close at hand. The site also loans out two Italian bikes for guests wanting to potter along quiet country lanes.
On-site amenities include a facilities caravan with cooking space, fridge and washing-up area, plus picnic tables and a communal campfire spot perfect for stargazing. You can pre-order breakfasts and simple suppers like pizza or fish and chips if you'd rather not self-cater every night, and there are a few pubs within a short drive. Can’t recommend enough. We stayed in the ‘owlet’, the bedroom attached to the main house, which was a welcome rest after a few days camping while walking the coast path. Barry and Sam were so helpful and kind, I recommend booking directly with them via their phone number on this Google page! The bedroom’s ensuite bathroom has an amazing shower, and we were able to use the kitchen to cook (though I hear Sam is a brilliant cook too who can provide meals). Relaxing in the garden enjoying the views was just blissful.

This is an excellent place to stay after the long walk across the military firing range. The facilities were spotlessly clean and the showers were excellent. It features a lovely field to spend a relaxing evening in, complete with a great fire pit. As a perfect bonus, I had hands-down the best bacon sandwich I have had in years here. Highly recommended!
