35 Quay Street

Pembrokeshire

View on Google Maps

35 Quay Street sits directly on the waterfront at Fishguard, where the River Gwaun meets the sea. This is a working quay lined with fishing boats and yachts, with the Yacht Club Cafe nearby and a slipway for small vessels. The cottage itself is a three-bedroom property sleeping up to six, with parking on site and an enclosed patio to the rear—useful for both children and the one pet that stays free.

The ground floor contains an open-plan living and dining space with a woodburner, an induction kitchen with dishwasher, and a utility room. Upstairs are three bedrooms (one kingsize, two pairs of singles) and a bathroom with bath and shower. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered; logs for the stove are provided in winter. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering rather than basic, and the living room overlooks the harbour.

Walking starts at your door—the wooded valley of the River Gwaun runs inland, the coast path heads in both directions, and there's a disused fort north along the bay. The town itself has pubs, cafes and a small supermarket. Children fish for crabs off the quay wall. The property is close to the water, so care is needed with young children. No smoking indoors.
