Old Newport Road

Pembrokeshire

View on Google Maps

Fishguard Harbour lies just downhill from Old Newport Road, a short walk through the village to reach the quay, the working fishing boats, and the coastal path that runs along this stretch of Pembrokeshire. The cottage itself sits on the slope above, looking out towards the water. Three bedrooms sleep five, with one bathroom on the first floor. Downstairs there's a living room with a woodburner and a separate kitchen/dining room where you can prepare meals or eat informally; a ground-floor toilet is separate. One dog stays free, and there's an enclosed rear terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, reached by a flight of steep local slate steps.

The kitchen comes equipped to cook properly—induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are all included, as are initial logs for the burner. One car can park on site. From here you're positioned between several beaches: Newport Sands, with its golf course, lies nearby, as do Pwllgwaelod and Whitesands. Dog walkers will find plenty of suitable routes in the area. St Davids, with its cathedral and selection of shops, pubs and cafes, is about 15 miles away. The cottage is non-smoking.
