Completely surrounded by fields and woods adjacent to Whinfell Forest, it's perfectly placed for exploring both the Lake District and the North Pennines National Landscape. The pitches come with the usual facilities – water, waste and chemical disposal – though there's no hot water on site, so plan accordingly.
Railway heritage enthusiasts will appreciate the site's unique feature: the Station House, once part of the Eden Valley Railway and Cliburn's original station, still displays its signal box and weigh office. Dogs are welcome year-round (kept on leads), barbecues are allowed on pitches, and the remote setting makes it ideal for wildlife watching and peaceful countryside escapes. A piece of heaven! Very beautiful site surrounded with nature, calm and amazing views. If you have outdoor roaming cats, that's purrrfect! Easy to visit Penrith and the lake district. I highly recommend.

Very clean and tidy static caravan (next to the small caravan site). Great views over the hills. Very peaceful and quiet. Just a few minutes walk to nearby woodland walks. Hosts very friendly. Only minor issue was that the mattress on the double bed a bit on the uncomfortable side, ie needs changed.

Just returned late Summer bank holiday. Very nice site huge field mostly gentle slope. Excellent views Amazing phone signal TV reception not so good but did not bother us all you need EHU.10 amps fresh water waste water chemical Elsan waste disposal. Highly recommended . I shall be back.

The static was lovely, nice and clean, plenty of utensils, glasses, TV, hot shower. The views were stunning. Saw lots of wildlife. We loved it. Thank you.
