Caroch Cottage is a terraced property in Comrie, a conservation village on the River Earn in rural Perthshire. The ground floor contains a spacious kitchen and dining area with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine—everything needed to cook properly rather than just reheat. Upstairs, a living room with window seat overlooks the river, while the bedrooms sleep four: one double (4ft 6in) and one with two single beds (3ft each). There is one shower room. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; a welcome pack is provided on arrival.
The cottage sits a short walk from Comrie's centre, where a pub and restaurant are 150 yards away, and a high street with butcher, baker, greengrocer and deli is within easy reach. Walks start from the front door—riverside paths, woodland and mountain routes are all close by—and the village golf course offers a 9-hole challenge. A mountain biking centre and wildlife park are also in the village; Crieff with its whisky distillery and historic gardens is 7 miles away. The property has open spiral stairs, which may not suit everyone. Parking is free and available nearby. No smoking is permitted inside.
