Built as a detached lodge on a quiet rural estate, Cluny occupies one level throughout, making it accessible for less mobile guests via ramp access. The open-plan living area contains a woodburner, smart TV with Netflix, and a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals or use the washer-dryer. Two bedrooms—one with a double bed and ensuite shower, the other with two singles—share a family bathroom, sleeping four in total. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided, along with initial logs for the fire.

A patio door opens onto a private deck with garden furniture and barbecue, overlooking countryside and mountains across the Strathtay Valley. The lodge sits within grounds shared with other properties on the estate, with private parking for two cars. Aberfeldy is a twenty-minute walk away, a working town on the River Tay with shops, cafés, restaurants and an art deco cinema. One dog stays free. No smoking inside.

We went there almost accidentially and were just about to leave again. The kind owner of the garden convinced us to sneak in and by god, we didn't regret it! Apart from the impressingly large redwood trees this garden appeared almost mystical with exuberant flora. The pathways are well cared too, it was indeed a great pleasure to discover the large variety of foreign an domestic plants.

This is one of our favourite places to visit. Great for seeing Red Squirrels close up. We go there to get our fix of Reds. The garden is special and magical. It's like a little adventure weaving through the different areas. It's a botanist dream. Cluny house is not geared up to cater for visitors. You make a contribution of £6 which is just to wander round the grounds. There is no facilities or refreshments, purely a beautiful garden. You can buy plants and seeds of what they have available at that time. A good way to spend a couple of hours.

Visitors say this garden features beautiful, tranquil woodland gardens with a wide variety of plants and magnificent trees, including a huge conifer. They also highlight the frequent sightings of red squirrels, which are often seen up close. Guests mention the helpful information cards and the convenient honesty box system for entry and plant sales.
