Perth and Kinross

Aberfeldy sits at the heart of Perthshire's Tay valley, surrounded by the kind of landscape that draws people to central Scotland: river walks begin at the property's edge, golf courses and outdoor pursuits are minutes away, and the town itself holds independent shops, restaurants and a swimming pool. Dunvarlich House, built in 1899, puts you within walking distance of these pleasures while remaining on its own substantial grounds.
The house sleeps ten across five bedrooms and three bathrooms, making it workable for two families or a multi-generational group. Downstairs there is a drawing room with original oak panelling and a wood-burning stove, a separate dining room, a kitchen fitted for serious cooking, and a music room. Bedrooms are arranged across the first floor; most are doubles, one has a double and single together, and one holds two singles. Two bathrooms have baths with bidets, and there is also a shower room. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included. One dog stays free. The whole property is yours alone—the owners live in a separate rear wing—and there is private parking and an enclosed garden.
No smoking inside. Check-in is after 3pm, checkout before 10am.

We stayed in this beautiful house for Christmas. It is absolutely stunning! We didn’t want to leave. Upon our arrival the log fire in the lounge was blazing and the Christmas tree lights in the bay window were on. The house was super warm at all times and it was incredibly well equipped in all aspects. It lacked nothing. The house itself is breathtaking and steeped in history. The vinyl record collection is superb and covers many genres. We visited house of Bruer which is beautiful and the Ferryman’s pub on Kenmore (6 miles away) is well worth a visit for delicious food and stunning views. We are lucky enough to have secured our booking for next Christmas and would like to thank Ann for being so attentive.

Amazing facilities and superb location - near enough to the town centre pubs and shops, yet also close enough to the Birks of Aberfeldy stunning hill walk. We loved the quirky items throughout the house, from the amazing vinyl collection to the eclectic library of books, from the drawerful of games to a kitchen with every gadget you will ever need. Comfy beds, good wifi, lovely & plentiful bathrooms, and effective heating all added to our stay - and we even had the fire pit going for a late pizza-making session in the garden - in March! There was plenty of space for our party of 8 adults and two dogs. Ann was great at answering any questions very quickly - overall a wonderful stay - we will be back..

Spent a wonderful weekend in this beautiful property with 6 adults, 3 children and a dog, the house is steeped with original features and full of charm. Facilities were amazing and the location was perfect. The house is big enough that we could spread out and not be on top of one another but with fabulous lounge and dining rooms where we could come together. The information from our host was amazing and the house is well equipped even with games and dressing up for the children. There is a lovkey front and rear garden and you are a short wall from amenities and beautiful walks. We would highly recommend a stay, especially if you have a love of architecture and original features. The children lived it so much they asked if we could come back for Christmas!
