Easter Rattray Cottages: The Bothy

The Bothy sits on working farmland in the heart of the Vale of Strathmore, where the landscape rolls across soft fruit country towards the Angus Glens. Blairgowrie, the market town at the centre of Perthshire's berry-growing region, lies just minutes away by car, giving you access to shops and restaurants while keeping you in genuinely rural surroundings.

Everything is on the ground floor: a living room with Freeview, a kitchen with electric cooking and a dishwasher, a bathroom with a bath and shower, and two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles. The cottage sleeps four. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all provided; gas central heating means you can stay comfortable through winter. There is parking for two cars on site and a garden with seating.

This is a walking area: the Cateran Trail passes nearby, cycle routes network through the region, and the Angus Glens offer established walking routes. Golfers have courses throughout Perthshire and further afield—Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie are all within reach. In winter, Glenshee ski slopes are accessible. The east coast beaches are a short drive, and Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh all make reasonable day trips. No smoking throughout.
