Garden Cottage

Garden Cottage is a substantial stone building dating from the 16th century, built within the grounds of Castle Menzies near Weem. The cottage itself is traditionally proportioned across two floors, with three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, and a living room with an open fire plus a kitchen-dining space downstairs. All the essentials are provided: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi, plus initial fuel for the fire. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with a gas cooker, range, dishwasher and washing machine alongside the usual appliances.

Accommodation sleeps up to six people. Two of the bedrooms contain double beds (4ft 6in), while the third has a pair of single beds (3ft). A cot, travel cot and highchair are available. The property is yours alone, with private parking for two cars and an enclosed garden with seating and tables. You have access to the castle's walled garden as well. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The cottage does not permit smoking.

Location-wise, you are close to Aberfeldy and have Perthshire's walking, cycling and water sports on your doorstep. A pub sits within a mile, shops about two miles away. Perth and Edinburgh are both reachable by car for day trips or longer stays. The castle grounds themselves offer peaceful space beyond the cottage's garden.
