White Wisp sits on ground level throughout, which means no stairs to navigate with luggage or children. The open-plan living space contains a kitchen fitted with a dishwasher and washing machine, a dining area, and a sitting room with Freeview TV and DVD player. One bedroom has a double bed; the other has two singles. Both rooms have their own ensuite shower rooms and televisions. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.
The cottage benefits from a sheltered sun deck facing the Ochil Hills, with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is an enclosed garden area (shared with the owner), bike storage, and parking for two cars on site. One dog is welcome. The surrounding grounds are peaceful, and you're within 30 minutes of Edinburgh or Perth; St Andrews and Gleneagles golf courses, excellent walking, and Loch Leven (an RSPB reserve) are all close by. The nearest shop is a mile away, with pubs and restaurants about seven miles distant. The garden contains four steps.

What guests say
White Whisp is the perfect Scottish holiday. The accommodation itself is very clean, very well-equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, TV, stable and fast Wi-Fi...) and has two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with two single beds), each with its own shower room. So it's very well-suited for families with up to two children, or perhaps two couples. It's also perfectly located in central Scotland, within an hour's drive of great attractions (Edinburgh on the east coast and Glasgow on the west coast, Stirling very close, and St. Andrews and other places are also easily accessible). We stayed here for two weeks – and will definitely be back; we didn't have enough time. The house isn't detached but is part of the hosts' house. However, they are practically invisible and inaudible – unless you need a service. Linens are changed weekly. Both were very friendly, courteous, and helpful – exemplary! The house is located at the end of a dirt road; I wouldn't dare drive it in a lowered sports car. The family has a dog named Dusty, and he was very friendly with our little dog, occasionally coming over to play. A truly wonderful holiday in a truly wonderful place.
