Gean Cottage is a detached holiday home on a working beef farm in Kinross-shire, positioned for exploring one of Scotland's most rewarding corners. Within 40 minutes' drive sit three world-class golf courses at Gleneagles, St Andrews and Ladybank, alongside several smaller local courses. Walking trails begin at the gate: the Rumbling Bridge Gorge of the River Devon, routes down to Muckhart Mill and into the Ochils are all nearby. The medieval villages of Falkland and Culross, famous from filming Outlander, are close by. Knockhill racing circuit is 3 miles away, and Kinross town centre—with its shops and restaurants—sits 5 miles off. Loch Leven, Dollar Castle, Stirling Castle, Blair Drummond Safari Park and Cowden Japanese Garden are all day-trip distance.

The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two singles. A shower room, kitchen with electric cooking, and a living and dining area occupy the ground floor. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. Central heating keeps things warm, and there is a DVD and CD player. The enclosed lawned garden opens onto the surrounding farmland; a burn runs through it about 10 yards from the property. Parking for two cars sits on site, and a bike store is available. A small stream runs close by; access to the cottage is by a farm track. No smoking inside.

An absolute gem. Out of the way on farmland this the best place ever. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the cows, calves, bunnies, it is pure heaven away from it all, yet convenient for so many places. Roberta and Duncan are fantastic hosts. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. A different view every day with the cows and the hills. The peace and quiet is to die for and the hosts are as lovely as can be. Would highly recommend for an excellent way to recharge them batteries.
