We had a very enjoyable stay at the Scone Arms. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and the improvements already completed look fantastic. Our room had been fully renovated and was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The bar area has been completely updated and has a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. Work is still continuing on the restaurant and reception areas, but it’s clear the property is being transformed beautifully. The food was full of flavour with very generous portions, and the staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and look forward to seeing the finished renovations in the future.

Amazing experience. The people who work here are truely masterclass. The friendliness and willingness to help guests went above and beyond. The food served here it outstanding and without fault. If it was closer to home I'd come alot more. I can only advice everyone come here

We stopped here for food on 25/07/26, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. My daughter's chicken was undercooked. When I raised this with the staff, the lady who came over explained that they use thigh meat and that's why it was pink. However, it did not appear to be cooked properly. The noodles were cold, the sticky rice was bland and lacked flavour, and the fish was supposed to be breaded, but I don't believe it was. Our bill came to £69.77, which is a lot considering more than half of the food was left uneaten. To be fair, they did take 50% off the chicken dish and then applied a further 20% discount, but we still paid £62. In my opinion, it simply wasn't worth the money. I'm sorry to say that, based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend this place for food.

Very helpful staff, food was delicious, very good selection of courses, with a good range of wines in the bar. The room was spacious, very comfy bed and bottled water in the fridge. Only down side was, a very small car park.
