Petworth House and Park - National Trust

Great visit, managed to find a disabled bay and got a lift up to the house. Not overwhelmed by visitors, joined the 900years in 45mins tour around the house which was excellent. Very friendly guides, I particularly liked the placement of sofas so those with walking/standing difficulties could take refuge.

Gorgeous national trust park to walk around, well maintained, exhibits on regularly. Staff were very welcoming and particularly in the house, there were staff located in most rooms who were there to give background on the pieces or answer any questions you had about the works.

A great experience inside and out. In the main rooms fabulous art examples from the old masters adorn every room, the artwork on the main staircase walls and ceiling are worth a visit on their own, beautiful! Outside the grounds and lake are well kept and you'll walk miles to take it all in. New toilets are a welcome addition.

We had such a wonderful day at Petworth House and Park. The place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The park is huge, perfect for long relaxing walks, and the views are simply stunning. What impressed me the most were the flowers and nature everywhere — so colourful and carefully looked after. The house itself is very impressive and full of history, but the surrounding park and gardens really made the visit special for us. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with family. We left feeling happy, relaxed, and grateful for such a lovely day. It’s definitely a place we would love to visit again. Highly recommended! 🌸🌿
