About The Inn at Loch Tummel
Loch Tummel spreads out below the road here, with the hills of Strath Tummel rising beyond it, and The Inn at Loch Tummel takes full advantage of that setting from its perch on Tummel Road. It's a quiet stretch of countryside a short distance from Pitlochry, with golf, fishing and walking country all within easy reach, plus a pub and restaurants nearby for anyone who fancies a change of scene.
Rooms are en-suite and comfortable, with several looking straight out over the loch and surrounding mountains. Guests can expect free WiFi, drinks available in the room, and a garden with outdoor seating for warmer days. Reception runs around the clock, and free on-site parking makes arriving with a car, or a dog, straightforward - the inn has a genuinely welcoming attitude towards four-legged guests.
Food is a strong point, with a restaurant and bar serving a menu that runs from Sunday roasts to Italian-inspired dishes, and breakfast is included to start the day. Staff are consistently friendly, though some guests have found the prices on the higher side. For an inn in this kind of scenery, it's worth booking a room with a view.

It wasn't a dream.....I did pay £35.44 for burger, chips and a pint. I understand the quality of the location and view but those prices are just over the top. The price included compulsory 12.5% service charge...... Which for one diner at lunch doesn't seem quite right. I suppose I should have studied the menu first to check the small print. I was more blindsided at the lack of lighter bite options as only really wanted a sandwich. My fault for not leaving. Given I was very disappointed with the quality of the burger and how it had been cooked, I accept I was offered the option of removing the service charge..... Which I almost accepted, but the lady serving was very nice and it wasn't her fault that the pricing and cooking wasn't as I had hoped for. Just strange biting into a burger and the edges are completely grey. It was one of those extra thick ones but that tends to mean it loses the option of caramelisation and therefore flavour. Maybe just wasn't to my personal taste. Appreciate others might love it. Shame. The view is great of course, but still not worth £24 quid for burger and chips. Each to their own.

Staff were lovely, polite and helpful. Location is so scenic, unfortunately our room had no view though, although we spent a lot of time outdoors walking and touring about despite the weather being poor. Breakfast was delicious and the room was so quiet at night. The room was a bit basic but the bed was comfy. Bar and evening meal prices are steep though, even for residents, so we opted to spend time and eat in Pitlochry instead. The inn is very dog friendly. They are allowed in the dining room, bar and snug, in fact, anywhere. Local cafes etc were mostly dog friendly too, so it was a brilliant area to bring a dog. Plenty local walks but watch out for ticks!!

Perfect place to stay in a beautiful location! We arrived on a sunny and surprisingly balmy day in March. The Inn is a wonderful, historic building with a terrific view of the loch. We parked in the free (and easy) parking and were warmly welcomed by hosts Hayley and Jade, who were so friendly and helpful. Our room was marvellous - very spacious, tastefully decorated, superb views and the most comfortable, huge bed. The room is well equipped and so quiet. We enjoyed drinks from the bar, sitting in the sunshine in their garden, taking in the wonderful views. Dinner was amazing, the food is superb as was breakfast the following morning. You can tell that they have a very talented chef, using top quality ingredients. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend and we will be back! Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality.

We loved our stay at The Inn and wished we could have stayed longer! Everything is perfect - the location, the views, the beautiful building, the rooms, the decor, the amazing hosts and the food...it was wonderful. You feel very much at home, there are cozy spaces to sit, in front of the open fire and read. The rooms are spacious and very tastefully decorated. The bed is the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Everyone is genuinely friendly and helpful. The weather was great when we were there (surprisingly for March) so we enjoyed a drink in the garden, taking in the amazing views. Thank you for a great stay. We highly recommend and will definitely be back!
