Welbeck Manor

I cannot recommend Welbeck Manor highly enough. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that it was the perfect place for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mum to get ready on the morning of my wedding. The manor itself is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are stunning. It has a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere that made the morning feel even more special. It was the perfect place for ‘getting ready’ wedding moments and made for some truly beautiful photographs. What made our experience even more memorable was the incredible staff. Every member of the team was so welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we had everything we needed. The breakfast was also amazing! As a bride, I was so nerves on the morning of your wedding, but the team at Wellbeck Manor did everything they could to make sure I felt calm, comfortable, and happy. Their warmth, care, and attention to detail made such a difference and allowed me to fully enjoy the excitement of getting ready with my closest family and friends. Thank you to everyone at Welbeck Manor for helping to make our wedding morning so special. It is a place I will always remember fondly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and welcoming place to stay and/or visit.

Great welcome from the staff, Tom and Emily. Emily booked our taxi return to Plymouth, thank you. The food was very good; we dined in twice. Particularly like the prawns and scallops. Breakfast, however, really needed a buffet for the fruit and cereal; we waited far too long. The ambience of the bar area was at times very noisy, even with only a few people in it. We were in room 3 which was very nice, great bathroom with fabulous walk in shower, masses of hot water. We had a great view of the golf course and moors beyond. Wardrobe was difficult but doable. Altogether an enjoyable stay, thanks to the staff who were all friendly. The zoo is only five minutes up the road. Apparently, the lion could be heard on our first morning, but we had the windows shut!

I had an absolutely perfect stay at this hotel and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The room was superb, beautifully decorated, immaculately presented, and incredibly comfortable. The bed in particular was outstanding. I had some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time, thanks to how peaceful and quiet it was at night. The hotel itself and its grounds are truly stunning, with incredible views that make the whole experience feel special from start to finish. It’s also very easy to find, which made arrival completely stress-free. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Every single person I encountered was friendly, happy, and genuinely helpful, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. That level of service made the stay even more enjoyable. The food deserves a special mention as well. Every meal was an absolute treat, and the chef clearly takes great pride in creating exceptional dishes. It was consistently impressive. Overall, everything about my stay was flawless. It felt like a true getaway, and I would return without hesitation. A perfect experience from beginning to end.

The public areas are not as per the photographs online and have probably been staged with different furniture. The reality is a lot less luxurious. The outside of the hotel looks tired and in need of some care and attention. The inside is better but the cleanliness could be better i.e. food on the floor from people eating was still there the next day after arriving. The rooms are spacious and ok, but the bathrooms are very basic. The window in our room was hanging off its hinges. The service from the 2 lads in the evening was good and the food was not bad either. We were concerned that after 10pm there are no staff onsite, so any issues (fire alarm etc) could be concerning. The location, if you get a golf course view is very nice.
