About Dartmoor Domes
Dartmoor Domes offers off-grid glamping in a woodland meadow just outside Plymouth, where each dome comes with its own private kitchen, bathroom and hot tub. The setup suits families and dog owners looking for something more self-contained than canvas, with all the basics covered despite the lack of WiFi—part of the appeal if you're after a proper digital detox.
The location makes a useful base for touring Devon and Dartmoor, though you're trading central moorland drama for easier access to Plymouth and the South Hams. Guests consistently praise the thoughtful touches and peaceful setting, earning the site a perfect rating, though the off-grid angle means you'll need to embrace a bit of rusticity alongside the comfort.

What visitors say
We have just come back from a 2 night stay at the Domes. It was complete perfection, our first time glamping it was a real treat!!! The Domes are so well equipped, the bed is so comfortable!, it has everything you need and more! The wood burning hot tub was heaven sat listening to the stream and birds a little bit of nature’s paradise! A fire pit to sit and toast marshmallows and drink hot chocolate at night was so lovely! Highly recommend Dartmoor Domes to anyone even if you are not a camper like myself it is such a wonderful peaceful experience!!

We stayed here for two nights with two adults and two children. We were slightly worried with how we would keep our young children occupied but we had nothing to fear, as it was AMAZING!!! Accomodation was lovely, board games and even hot chocolate with marshmallows available! The hot tub was the best and we spent a lot of our time in the tub and playing in the stream. We cannot wait to stay again and cannot recommend enough !

Wow!! We had the most magical stay at Dartmoor Domes. Before arriving Emma texted to make sure we had directions and if we had any questions and what time we were arriving. As we pulled in, she was there waiting, happy to greet us and helped us to our Dome with all our many bags. So happy and chatty. The location is stunning. Private stream running through the woods and bluebells, sheep in the surrounding fields. No one else in sight. Our Dome (Haytor) was the dog friendly option and she loved the holiday as much as us. Double bed, bunk for kids and even doggy blankets. Beautiful rattan furniture and a log burner. Outside in our private space was the provate compost toilet which honestly had no smell whatsoever, private kitchenette, private shower room which had great water pressure. As well as our own log burner hot tub, hammock, fire pit and bbq with seating. We had 1 day of sun and one of rain and on both we had a fab time, kids still enjoyed the hot tub even in the rain and loved running up the stream in there water shoes. I had mentioned it was my husbands birthday and they had left special birthday message and treat as well as bunting and balloons. Such lively little touches. Although there is no mains electricity they have solar lights a old USB attachment to the solar for emergency charging if needed but we loved the excuse to just turn everything off and relax. Then on our last day we were taken up to visit the Alpacca/horses and feed them. Honestly a wonderful family run set up. We had the best time and you were so welcoming. I have told everyone I speak to about our trip how much I reccomend going and hope that we get to come again ourselves. Thank you for a perfect mini break.

An amazing place to stay! Everything has been well thought out from the comfortable furnishings in the dome to the fairy lights in the eating area. Everything you need is provided. The site is quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed lazing in the hot tub in the evening. It is in a good position with easy access to Dartmoor. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to stay.
