About Leonardo Hotel Plymouth
Leonardo Hotel Plymouth is a substantial modern build rising eight floors above Exeter Street, with 247 rooms making it one of the bigger stays in the city centre. Its scale means plenty of choice for both leisure visitors and business travellers, backed up by meeting rooms and business services for those in town for work, as well as a wedding venue for other occasions.
Rooms are air-conditioned and en-suite, with room service and drinks available, and accessible options for those who need them. Breakfast is a particular strength, with a wide spread on offer each morning, and the on-site restaurant and bar cover other meals and evening drinks. Staff throughout are consistently helpful and welcoming, which makes settling in straightforward. Parking is available nearby for a charge, though it isn't always kept in the best condition.
The location puts Charles Church, Plymouth Hoe and the National Maritime Aquarium all within easy reach, alongside pubs, restaurants and cycling and walking routes nearby. Golf, fishing and watersports can also be found in the surrounding area, giving guests plenty to fill their time beyond the hotel itself.

What guests say
Great location and friendly service at Leonardo Hotel Plymouth Our stay at Leonardo Hotel Plymouth was overall a good experience, especially thanks to its unbeatable location and the genuinely friendly staff. The hotel itself is on the older side, which you can see in some details. At the same time, it’s clear that efforts are being made to keep everything well maintained and to update things where possible. Some fixtures, however, show their age – for example, a slightly loose tap and visible wear on the drain fittings. The room could also have been a bit cleaner, with small things like cobwebs on the ceiling and a floor that didn’t feel completely spotless. The breakfast was solid and absolutely fine to start the day. There is a good basic selection, though a bit more variety – especially things like cream cheese and salmon to go with the bagels – would make it even better. A small detail: having a simple milk jug available (instead of only a dispenser) would add a bit more comfort. What really stood out throughout our stay was the friendliness of the staff. Whether at reception, in the bar, or in the restaurant in the evening – everyone was welcoming, attentive, and happy to accommodate individual requests. It created a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The location is a huge plus: everything is within easy walking distance – the harbour, , and many of Plymouth’s main sights are less than five minutes away. Considering the price, the hotel offers very good value for money. With a few small improvements in maintenance and cleanliness, it could be an even stronger experience – but as it stands, it’s a comfortable and well-located base with truly kind service.

Stayed at the Leonardo Hotel in Plymouth for a few nights and had a really good experience overall. The rooms were nice and clean, especially for the price, and the location is excellent right in the centre of the city. It’s an easy walk to the bars, restaurants and the harbour, which made everything really convenient. The breakfast was nice as well with a good amount of choice, and the hotel had a comfortable atmosphere throughout the stay. Overall, it’s a solid hotel for anyone wanting somewhere central without spending loads of money. Would definitely stay here again.

Came here on a university trip. Rooms were lovely and comfortable, althought the AC didn't work very well in our room. Breakfast is nice, and the waiters at breakfast are lovely! Location was perfect, decently close to the harbour. Overall was a wonderful stay.

Great location for going into either the city or the Barbican. The rooms are large & clean if a little tired. Checkin was easy, staff nice, parking at £10 per 24hrs is very reasonable On the subject of parking… the car park isn’t 24hrs access so if you come back after 11pm then you can get in or out. It’s also quite disgusting down there… there is no direct access to the hotel, we followed the signs out & it was full of pigeon excrement & pigeons… a complete health hazard. I advise just going up the car ramp as it’s cleaner & quicker. There are also people camping out in the car park. Can’t blame them if they are homeless it’s at least sheltered.
