About Premier Inn Plymouth City Centre Sutton Harbour

A wide breakfast selection and an on-site restaurant set the tone at Premier Inn Plymouth City Centre Sutton Harbour, a 107-room hotel spread across four floors by the harbour. Guests can start the day properly before heading out, with drinks available in the room for those who prefer to take things slowly.

Rooms are en-suite, with family and accessible options among the mix, and the whole place is served by a lift and 24-hour reception, so late arrivals and early starts are equally straightforward. Staff are consistently described as helpful, and rooms as clean and comfortable, which counts for a lot on a short break.

The setting puts the Barbican, the Aquarium and Plymouth Hoe all within easy reach, with pubs, restaurants and watersports nearby for those who fancy exploring further afield, and golf, fishing and horse riding on offer for a change of pace. There's chargeable parking on-site with limited spaces, plus a car park at Harbour Car Park a couple of minutes' walk away, though it's worth noting parking costs can add up.

I've stayed at the Sutton Harbour hotel for a few times. The last I stayed I decided to pay an extra £10 for their Premier Plus room with a harbour view. Yes you get a view but its blocked so I was disappointed. I will not book the extra view next time. The Premier room is no different to their standard room. Bed is the same. However, it does come with a fridge, complimentary chocolates, a coffee machine and free wifi. The free wifi was ideal! However, if you're not booking with a view you will be facing the traffic which is loud. The hotel is very close to my work place, and walking to Drake Circus takes about 10-15 mins which isn't too bad. I find their beds so comfy and I can sleep easily.

It's a Premier Inn - you know what you are getting! Clean and comfortable hotel, friendly service but can be a little slow. Location of closer to the harbour than it appears as located down a dark industrial street with apparent perpetual building works. Hotel feels a little dark purely due to construction and layout - decor is typical premier inn. Nice enough in house restaurant, but plenty of other offerings a short walk round Sutton Harbour.

Really nice premier inn. The rooms and public areas felt fresh and clean. The reception and restaurant team members were lovely. The car park costs £9 to park for 24 hours and would recommend getting to it earlier if you want a space as it gets very busy. Nicely situated with lots of places within walking distance. It was nice and quiet in the evening so had a great sleep.

We have stayed here many times over the years and we keep coming back. The service on this trip was especially memorable, with Briony and Kate’s (and Tom in the kitchen) friendly and attentive service making us feel very welcome, and the quality of the food preparation clearly done with care and thoughtfulness. Always a great stay and the location brilliant for trips to the aquarium, Barbican, Barcode and more. Comfy rooms, comfy beds and bedding and all round great, affordable family accommodation.
