I’ve been staying at the Aqua Hotel for a few months with work, and it’s been an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. The food and bar are great too, with a wide selection that never gets boring. I’ll especially miss Polly the parrot—her cheerful greetings and morning battle cries became part of my daily routine! All in all, a fantastic stay. Highly recommend.

Clean and welcoming, the beds were uncomfortable, but the food was very good. Shame the bar closes so early on Saturdays.

Stayed at the Aqua for a 2 night stay so we could do the South coastal path around Portland, me and my wife had a great time here. Martin and the staff were so helpful and attentive. Food was great, breakfast buffet and a great menu to choose from. Rooms were clean and tidy, we stayed in room 204 which had great views of the bay and a nice sunset. Definitely recommend. We will be back again soon for sure. Thank you Martin and the staff. 5/5 well deserved.

The best thing is definitely the hotel staff. I was travelling for work and had to extend my stay late the night before, this included having to move to another room as mine was booked, the hotel staff were very friendly and organised it quickly. They even offered to move my bags to another room so that I could go to work first thing in the morning without having to worry about my luggage. When I came back from work I would arrive at the end of the dinner hour (which, by the way, was always delicious) and they offered to prepare whatever I wanted from the menu so that I wouldn't have to go without eating. I am very grateful for the very understanding and humane treatment I received. I highly recommend staying at this establishment.
