About ibis Portsmouth Centre
ibis Portsmouth Centre sits close to Portsmouth & Southsea railway station, making it a convenient option for anyone arriving by train and wanting to walk to the Guildhall, Commercial Road shopping and the wider city centre.
Rooms are compact and functional in the usual ibis style, aimed at guests who want a reliable, no-frills base rather than a destination hotel in itself.
Both Gunwharf Quays and the Historic Dockyard are within a walkable distance, while Southsea's seafront is a slightly longer walk or a short bus ride away.
What guests say
We stay here once a year before taking the ferry to France. We don't have breakfast as we leave too early. Nice clean rooms with comfy beds and nice shower. Just a short walk to the train station and shops etc, so its a good location. The staff ordered us a taxi in the morning by just pressing a button, the taxi arrived quickly. Perfect.

I stayed for one night and found the experienfe exactly as expected. The staff were well mannered and attentive and it was good value for money. The food is lovely and thr dinner menu is a good portion for the price you pay. I would recommend getting here early as parking spaces are limited (roughly 20 including disabled and EV charge) and are charged at the day rate, so plan ahead. And if you need an uber, they have a kiosk for that in the entrane foyer - a nice feature i rarely see All in all a lovely stay

The shower was tatty leaked from the pipe and made the floor wet. We tried to order food from the 24/7 menu but we're told it was unavailable as the chef had gone home. I'm not quite sure why you need a chef for a frozen pizza. The staff were generally not overly welcoming or eager to help. The stay was otherwise fine but I have had much better stays with Accor.

Tiny bathrooms and I don't recommend the cheesecake, clearly shop bought and frozen, could taste ice particles when I took my one and only bite. Plus the juice tastes like the cheap store brand that doesn't taste good.
