Location is great and parking available however the rooms need work. Very well used mattresses and tatty bed. Bathrooms were clean and good kitchen space The room was unbearably hot!! There needs to be a fan or Aircon provided because it was not possible to sleep in the room even with only 50% of beds in use

We stayed for two nights during the second heatwave of the 2026 summer. The room was excruciatingly hot, even at night since the tiny window only opened for a fraction (probably because of safety regulations). All we had in the room was a little fan to circulate the hot air. Other than that, there’s the shared bathroom and a communal kitchen with some basic things: fridge, kettle, microwave. I can’t call this a hotel. I got a hostel feel from the place and I kick myself for not doing some better research before booking here.

Absolutely delightful little hotel with lovely friendly staff. Exceptional value. Perfectly clean and functional. Comfy cosy room. Tea and coffee supplied in the morning. Safe place to store bike overnight. Lovely late checkout. Love it. I was going to go to the Ibis Budget but I like to support local businesses where I can and I'm so glad I did. Will stay again if ever I need to overnight for the ferry Thank you!

Stayed last weekend when the temperature are high, staff informed during check in that the rooms we stayed is like an oven, staff not interested in doing something about it even though they have so much time to sort out the issue before we came back at night time, staff not interested at all, we ended up moving out book somewhere else, we paid for 2 nights but only stayed for 1 night. I hope they take this as a learning curve and make sure the guests well being and safety are a top priority. Not going back there again never. Shame the lowest is 1 star otherwise it will be no STAR at all. Disgusting attitude of staff for not doing anything, owner should be well aware of the issues.
