About Travelodge Havant Rowlands Castle

Whichers Gate Road sits on the edge of Portsmouth with the open ground of South Downs National Park close by, giving Travelodge Havant Rowlands Castle a quieter, greener setting than many budget hotels manage. The surrounding area suits walking and cycling, and a golf course is also within easy reach for anyone wanting to fill a day outdoors.

The hotel itself is a straightforward two-floor building with 21 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in the room. Accessible rooms are available, and pets are welcome. The rooms themselves are unfussy rather than stylish, which suits the price point but is worth knowing in advance.

Breakfast, a restaurant and a bar are all on site, and The Staunton Arms and a Harvester restaurant are both nearby for anyone after a meal out. Free on-site parking runs on a first-come, first-served basis, and there's free WiFi and an electric vehicle charge point too, making this a practical base for exploring the South Downs.

Been in our fair share of Travelodges and this ranks as one of the best. Nice welcome. Good sized, and clean, room. Parking right outside. No creaky floorboards. Soft-close doors. And the shower was decent although the cubicle was a tad on the small side. 20 mins from the seaside. Would use again.

Location is decent and ample parking. We stayed over the holiday period and found the rooms decently sized but shower pressure is practically non existent. Down rated due to an incident on the last day - someone walked into my room at 10am without even a knock and then apologised and backed out. When checking out there was no mention until I brought it up and was then told it was housekeeping.

This hotel is in a great location near countryside and the village of Rowlands Castle itself, which I instantly fell in love with, when I had a lovely morning walk. It is a great location for visiting the seaside etc and I would definitely stay again. Also ideally located next to a Harvester and She'll petrol station.

Maria and her colleague were so helpful. I would say it was a lovely travel lodge and a big spacious room and one of the nicest looking travel lodge. We came down from Kent to visit our son and his family. Great nights sleep with a comfy bed.
