Cwmfron House stands on a working farm in the heart of Mid Wales, where rolling hills and rural quiet make it a base for exploring this part of Powys. The Elan Valley is within reach—a dramatic landscape of forested slopes, waterfalls and Victorian-era dams that draw walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers. Llanidloes, a market town 2 miles away, sits on the River Severn and has restaurants, cafés and shops; from there you can walk into Hafren Forest or look for osprey at Llyn Clywedog. The Red Kite feeding centre and Gilfach Nature Reserve, with its rapids and waterfalls, are also close by. Rhayader and Builth Wells (9 miles away, home to the Royal Welsh Showground) offer further options for a day out.
The house sleeps 6 across four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The ground floor holds a living and dining room, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a utility room with washing and tumble drying, and a double bedroom with an ensuite. Upstairs are three more bedrooms—one with a zip-and-link super kingsize bed (or two singles if you prefer), and two singles—plus a shower room. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request. The property is yours alone, with parking for three cars, an enclosed garden and patio, and bike storage. Essentials including electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. No smoking throughout.
