About Old Chapel Farm
Old Chapel Farm occupies a secluded valley 1,000 feet above sea level, about ten minutes from Llanidloes – a peaceful haven on a working organic farm where Jersey cows, sheep, poultry and bees share the landscape with campers. The owners live off the land, and you can share in the bounty: home-reared beef and lamb is available for barbecuing. Solar-heated showers, a communal cooking awning, firepit and compost loos keep things simple and sustainable.
This is wild camping in the truest sense – spectacular hill scenery, minimal facilities, and yes, the occasional sheep dropping underfoot. It's not luxury, but if you're after remote beauty, wildlife-rich meadows and a genuinely off-grid atmosphere with friendly retrievers and farm-fresh produce, this tiny site delivers exactly what it promises.

What visitors say
Lovely campsite, easy to book, friendly owner

We had a great time despite a few rainy days . Very friendly. First time I’ve stayed in a Yurt and I must say they are very cosy snug with the log burner going . The kitchen area is built into and old Bus which might sound odd but it works out great. JB

yurt holidays here are highly recommended. definitely not glamping. this is a working farm and can be plenty of mud. nothing better on a rainy day though than being snug in a yurt with the fire lit. v welcoming owners and beautiful countryside.

Loved the open and friendly nature of this truly unique place. Quirky and perhaps a bit hippy for some but so full of character I loved it. A real break from bleak cut-and-paste campsites. Looking forward to returning already.
