Walk through the door of Llaethdy and find yourself in a light, open-plan living space—the former dairy converted into one continuous ground floor. A kitchen with electric cooking runs into a dining area, which opens to a lounge with a 40" TV. Two bedrooms and a shower room are also at ground level; upstairs, two larger bedrooms include one with an ensuite bathroom. The zip-and-link bed in bedroom four can be configured as a superking or split into singles. Linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with heating and electricity.
Talgarth itself sits where the Black Mountains begin to rise, making it the practical starting point for exploring Bannau Brycheiniog. The town has a working restored water mill, local food producers along its stone streets, and a medieval bridge. Walking trails begin on the doorstep; a festival runs each May. A pub is within a mile's walk. The property has parking for two cars, and one pet stays free. No smoking indoors.
