About Wye Glamping
Glamping with Black Mountain views and a pub within a minute's lurch…well, Wye wouldn't you? The team here have the laudable ambition of bringing guests close to nature while immersing them in comfort and style too, so even reluctant campers should be mightily impressed. Luxury bell tents and a yurt come with proper beds, each in its own private camp on wooden platforms with a dedicated kitchen hut, compost toilet, firepit, picnic table and deckchairs. The stream running alongside adds to the atmosphere, and there's a little library of books, toys and games for rainy days.
The site sits on the edge of Velindre village, home to a pub and a couple of small play parks. A petrol station selling basics is in nearby Three Cocks, while Hay-on-Wye is under 10 minutes' drive for proper shops. The market town of Brecon, about 10 miles away, offers boutique shopping to match the sense of luxury. Some visitors note the facilities can feel a touch tired in places, but the setting and thoughtful touches more than compensate.

The perfect introduction to Glamping! This was my first time Glamping after years and years of camping as a child. Wye Glamping is situated in a beautifully quiet and very secluded spot just 10min drive outside of Hay on Wye. Surrounded by rolling hills and open fields next to a ‘babbling brook’, the location is perfect to chill out. We stayed in Holly, one of two wooden Glamping huts. It comes perfectly equipped with all you could need, the inside of Holly is lovely with a wood burning fire for the chillier nights. We didn’t need it as the weather was lovely and warm. There are USB A (not C) for charging a phone or tablet as well as a wired in radio. You have an outside kitchen contained in a similar wooden hut, along with a fire pit, and complimentary wooden logs. The kitchen has a gas stove, sink with running water and all the bits you could need to rustle up a dinner. We also had a swing and picnic bench with two deckchairs and two fold out camping style chairs. For ablutions you have a composting toilet, in another wooden hut in your camp area, and then about 75 yards up the path your own shower unit and a plumbed in toilet next to it. The host Diane, provides wheelbarrows to cart all your stuff from the car down the gravel paths to your hut. Sitting out in the evening, toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, under a sky full of stars, listening to the tawny owls, whilst watching the bats fly acrobat displays over our heads was magical. There is loads to do in the area, from visiting the local villages for excellent breakfasts…..a big nod here to Trigg at the Mill in Talgarth. To endless walks in the Brecon Beacons or down on the pebble beaches on the river Wye, it really is worth a visit. And without doubt definitely worth staying at Wye Glamping.

Our stay at Wye Glamping was the first time my wife and I, and our doggy Molly, had been glamping. We couldn't have found a better place. The cabin (Bramble) was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of warm bedding, a wood burner, placed to hand clothes and put items, USB charging ports (unexpected!), great views and pretty fairy lights too give the cabin a relaxing and warm glow in the evening. It was wonderful to wake and have a morning coffee in bed with the fresh air and sounds of nature. In the evenings we had a fire and drinks outside, listening to the birds, distant sheep and the stream. Outside we had a generous decked area, fully equipped kitchen, double hammock, two deck chairs and a picnic bench with seating enough for four people. (There's a double sofa bed in the cabin for two extra people). Next to our cabin was a compost toilet, that despite being July had zero odour. To the top of the path there's also a toilet and shower. There is also sanitiser provided in the tollet for hand cleaning and a running water tup in the kitchenette. Overall there's everything you need for a truly relaxing stay, with great views, local amenitiesand wonderful staff. Thank you Diana and Jess!

This is amazing! You should definately come here to camp. Lovely set up, next to a small stream. Tents are spacious and have a log burner. They even supplied kindling and logs. Outside burner too which was lovely for evening fires. Close to lots of places to visit. One day we broke down in the car and the owner came to the site to help us out (in the dark!), luckily he had just the part we needed to get the car up and running again. Saved the day and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience!!!! Will fully recommend

Beautiful site in the most tranquil location. We stayed in the cabin and had all of the amenities we could have possibly ever needed. I would recommend Wye glamping to anyone looking to relax and unwind in the outdoors.
