Podiau Efyrnwy Pods - Celyn Bach
Powys

The village of Llanwddyn sits deep in the Powys countryside, surrounded by moorland and forestry some twenty miles south-west of Oswestry. Lake Vyrnwy itself—a Victorian dam built in the 1880s—lies just a couple of miles away, anchoring a 24,000-acre RSPB reserve with walking trails, hides for birdwatching, and water-based activities from boating to cycle hire. The pod occupies a large enclosed meadow with its own raised decking, where you can sit out and hear little but the sounds of the landscape around you.
Celyn Bach is a single-bedroom, ground-floor pod that sleeps four: a double bed (4ft 6in), a double sofa bed, and a shower room with heated towel rail. The open-plan layout combines living space, kitchen and bedroom in one space. You can cook on an electric hob or use the combi microwave, with a breakfast area to eat in. Parking for one car sits beside the property. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with a welcome pack. One well-behaved pet stays free. There is a bike store on site and a shared gas BBQ in the grounds. The property draws its water from a borehole.
The setting suits anyone after quiet countryside rather than seaside bustle—couples on a break, friends seeking space together, or families wanting to explore a rural reserve. Oswestry, with its market, independent shops and restaurants, is a twenty-minute drive if you want a day away from the stillness.
