Powis Castle View

Powis Castle View works well for couples or small families wanting a quiet base for exploring mid-Wales. The bungalow is set within the grounds of Edderton Hall, near Welshpool, with direct access to local footpaths and views toward Powis Castle and the Severn Valley. You have the whole place to yourself, though the 1½-acre grounds are shared with the owner. One dog stays free.

Everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living and dining space with a 32-inch TV; a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with an oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher; a bedroom with a zip-and-link super kingsize bed (or twin singles on request) and TV; and a second bedroom with two single beds. The shower room has a heated towel rail. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and the heating is electric central. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

The decked patio fronts the property with garden furniture and views over the grounds; a lawned garden area is also part of your space. The private hot tub fits four people. You have parking for two cars on site and a bike store. The nearest pub and restaurant are about half a mile away; shops are 2½ miles. No smoking inside.
