Yr Hen Feudy at Pentre Farm is a 2021-built house on a working farm near Llansilin, between the Welsh and English borders. You enter on the ground floor into a kitchen-diner with full cooking facilities and patio access, then into a spacious living room with a wood-burning stove and garden views. The first bedroom with two single beds sits on this level, while the second and third bedrooms—one with a kingsize, one with a double—occupy the floor above. All three rooms have their own ensuite shower rooms with heated towel rails.
The property is yours alone, with space for six people across the three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included, along with wood for the stove. An enclosed front garden with patio, seating and a BBQ faces out to farmland. There is parking for three cars on site. The house sits nine steps up from the access lane, and the kitchen and living room both open onto the patio area. The heating system uses an air source heat pump with underfloor heating throughout.
This suits families and larger groups looking for a rural base within reach of walking country, birdwatching and mountain biking. The nearest village is Llansilin. No smoking inside the property.

Absolutely beautiful stay here! Peaceful, remote, but easy to get to Liverpool, Anglesey, Chester etc. Walks and waterfalls in the vicinity are fabulous. The accommodation itself was perfection. The hosts were so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

We stayed in Yr Hen Feudy, Llansilin for 3 nights over the New Year and the entire experience from arrival to departure was excellent. The accommodation was perfect for 3 couples as all three bedrooms had en-suite facilities. The location is rural and in a very picturesque setting, which was ideal for us to walk directly from the cottage without even having to drive anywhere. Our host Malc was superb. Meeting us on arrival and explaining everything we needed to know. Support was available and the response to any of our requests was very rapid. Having stayed in many Airbnb's over the years, I can highly recommend this cottage for your stay.

I spent Christmas with family at Yr Hen Feudy which was perfect in every way. The location and scenery is absolutely stunning and the weather was particularly kind to us which was an added bonus. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped, cooking a Christmas dinner for 6 people in the kitchen was done with ease, with every utensil you needed at hand. The cottage has been so well renovated and is spacious, modern and luxuriously comfortable. The wood burner was a real treat to have lit in the evenings. A huge thank you to Malc and Sara who live next door and were on hand for any queries, and recommendations for local attractions, also was a life saver and provided us with some rice on the first night as we forgot ours! The walk up Gyrn Moelfre from the cottage door was steep but well worth the stunning views from the top, we also visited the biggest waterfall in Wales Pistyll Rhaeadr which was breath taking. We met some lovely local people and neighbours who were all so friendly and welcoming and we ate at the local pub (Wynnstay Inn) which was just over a mile walk - again everyone was super friendly and the food was homemade and amazing (not to mention super reasonably priced). Overall, a perfect family Christmas was spent at Yr Hen Feudy and I cannot recommend it enough! Again, thanks Malc and Sara, you are so lucky to live in such an amazing part of the countryside and thank you for allowing us to share your space, I look forward to returning!

We have just enjoyed a very relaxing week at Yr Hen Feudy. The house is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. It's in a truly stunning location with great elevated views across the valley. Not far from Oswestry, it's a great base for exploring the local area. Malc & Sara are very welcoming and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to you for a great break away from it all.
