Families and small groups will find Cross Keys Inn Cottages straightforward to use. The whole property is yours alone, set on the ground floor with three bedrooms—two doubles and one single—sharing a bathroom with bath and shower. The open-plan living area has a television and French doors opening onto an enclosed garden with seating; the kitchen is equipped for real cooking rather than heating up. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and there's parking for two cars on site.
The pub attached to the cottage serves food made with proper ingredients in generous portions at reasonable prices, with staff who know how to look after customers. It's a working establishment with its own following, so you're not renting an isolated space but staying adjacent to somewhere with actual life in it. Dogs stay free and there are extras provided for them, and travel cots and high chairs are available on request. The location puts you within reach of the Forest of Bowland's walking routes and Clitheroe's Norman castle, though the property works equally well as a base for doing very little at all.

The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond. We shared a pizza and it was absolutely delicious!!!!! My son loved the little fish pond. And 1 thing that usually let's places down is the bathroom.... these did NOT They were clean, tidy and didn't smell in the slightest! Highly recommend

I had an excellent dining experience. The highlight of the meal was the lamb pie, which was absolutely outstanding. The pastry was perfectly golden and flaky, while the filling was rich, tender, and full of flavor. Every bite tasted freshly prepared and well-seasoned. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It's clear that the kitchen takes pride in using quality ingredients and preparing dishes with care. If you're a fan of traditional comfort food, I highly recommend trying the lamb pie—it was one of the best I've had. I will definitely be returning.

Haven't been here since the 1990s and have fond memories so great to see again. Absolutely love the new look, the same cozy feel but lighter and brighter. The staff are amazing and the food was just perfect. Will definitely be back! Would advise booking just so they can plan and you can check what events are on, but if you are in the area I'm sure walking in would receive a warm welcome. Come visit, you won't regret it!

Excellent service. Only grumble was the battered pak choi on the crispy beef salad wasn't very nice and child's burger was absolutely huge and too big and overwhelming. It was an adult looking size burger.
