Walk through the door of Woodpecker Cottage and you enter a double-height space with exposed beams and a spiral staircase leading up to a mezzanine. The ground floor is open plan, flowing from living area through dining to kitchen, with underfloor heating throughout. A wood burner sits ready for winter evenings. The first bedroom is upstairs in that galleried space, with an en-suite shower tucked discreetly behind frosted glass. Downstairs, a second double bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower complete the layout. The cottage sleeps four and has its own parking for three cars.
The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with logs for the burner and a welcome pack. Outside, patio doors open onto a garden with furniture and BBQ. The hot tub sits under a wooden gazebo and accommodates four. One dog travels free.
Woodpecker Cottage sits near Goosnargh Gin, and there's a pub within walking distance if you don't fancy cooking. The garden includes a lake 25 metres from the property. No smoking inside.

Absolutely beautiful cottage which is fully equipped for all your needs, including a lovely hot tub where you can sit and watch amazing wildlife whilst relaxing. Can't praise this cottage enough. Absolutely brilliant in every way . Our little dog Nelly lv'd it, especially her new friend Steve the Emu. The wildlife was amazing. Total relaxing wkend we made the most of the hot tube. I would highly recommend perfect hosts, everything you need & more. Look forward to staying again. Best regards, Bren & family ♥️

We had a wonderful stay at Woodpecker Cottage. Sally, Rob and family were fantastic hosts. The cottage is well equipped and spotlessly clean and an added bonus of a hot tub. Very central to walking trails and Beacon Fells Park.
