Staying overnight our room overlooked the golf course (which looked superbly maintained) and beyond fields with cows and woodland. All I could hear was birdsong. Room was immaculate, furniture a little tired but very very comfortable. Definitely could not complain. Like many hospitality venues clearly staff numbers have been reduced, with staff multitasking, but everyone was very friendly, provided excellent service, and teamworking seemed to also be excellent. The food quality in the restaurant was really good, both for dinner and breakfast. We were two happy guests and we intend to make the hotel our overnight stop on all trips north in future.

Great value and convenient location. Rooms are upgraded with bigger TVs and very quiet at night. Bathroom a bit dated but the rest of the room is quite quaint. Spotless too and friendly service

We got married here on 29th May 2026, and it was absolutely amazing, the venue, the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us, the price was reasonable, we loved it that much we wanted to do it again. I would definitely recommend this place for a wedding, the views are great too. I would give it a 10 out of 10.

The location is beautiful but I did think the venue was quite dated and the night I stayed there was a very rowdy couple of people pitaode in the corridor. The breakfast was nice but didn't feel fresh, I had to ask for things to be topped up and no fried eggs.
