Thai Square Putney

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch with the family at Thai Square Putney Bridge, made even more special by the beautiful river views — nearly every table seems to overlook the water. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the service was impressively quick without feeling rushed. Portions were generous across all dishes. We started with salt and pepper squid and delicate Thai dumplings, both full of flavour. For mains, we chose the Laab sea bass, a rich and comforting panang curry lamb shank, classic pad see ew, and a selection of mixed vegetables. Everything was well prepared, satisfying, and thoroughly enjoyable.

The restaurant has an upmarket atmosphere and a great view of the Thames & Putney Bridge if sat by a window. The staff were attentive and the service was quick. All the meals were tasty, fresh and the chef accommodated our request to remove cabbage from the Pad Si-ew. We booked through first table so got 50% off our food, which made it good value - definitely recommend eating here with the discount. Note there is a 12.5% service charge, and both soft & alcoholic drinks are quite expensive. It got busy on a saturday evening match day, so would recommend booking in advance to secure a table on a weekend.

We really enjoyed visiting this place. The location and view of the river are very pleasant, and the staff are attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, especially the starters (Duck Spring Rolls and Salt & Pepper Squid), and the massive Lamb Shank Penang curry that comes on the bone, which was tender and flavourful. We went with the First table app, so we only paid around £23 per person including drinks.

The restaurant’s ambiance is calm and relaxing, enhanced by tasteful décor and a stunning view over the Thames, making it ideal for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that every need was met without being intrusive — a level of service that genuinely added to the overall experience. The only minor drawback is that parking can be somewhat distant, requiring a bit of a walk to reach the restaurant. However, once inside, the welcoming atmosphere and exceptional food more than make up for the inconvenience. Overall, Thai Square Putney Bridge is a wonderful spot for anyone seeking authentic Thai cuisine, professional service, and a serene dining environment — well worth the visit despite the parking challenge.
