About Away from it All

Tucked away on a secluded Lleyn Peninsula farm, this tiny glamping hideaway delivers exactly what its name promises. Each futuristic geodesic dome comes kitted out with a proper double bed draped in crisp white linen and handmade Welsh blankets, rustic furniture, sheepskin rugs, and a wood-burner for chilly evenings. Outside, your private deck overlooks rolling green hills - perfect for stargazing or cooking over the firepit with the gourmet welcome hamper of local produce. A short stroll brings you to spotless modern showers and a sheltered kitchen for when the weather turns.

The farm setting means fresh eggs from the resident hens each morning (the kids can help feed the pigs, too), while the only soundtrack is birdsong, bleating sheep, and a babbling stream. With cycle hire on-site and the dramatic Lleyn coastline close by, it's an idyllic base for exploring north Wales - though you might struggle to leave. The 5-star Google rating and reputation for warm hosts suggest others have felt the same.

I just stayed here with my family and couldn't be happier. An incredibly beautiful location, an immaculately presented dome with a great, comfy bed. Clean showers with immediate hot water and a kitchen with everything you'd ever need, too. Our children are 2 and 6 so have very different needs, but both were happy picking blackberries and running around on our little patch. Booking and check-in were as smooth and painless as it can be. Excellent communication from Bethan before time made it all so easy. In Pen Llŷn there's a fine line to be balanced between serving the countless tourists who come and supporting the communities who live there year-round. There are instances of Welsh language schools in the area closing, not because of a lack of support for the language, but because the numbers of people actually living in some areas are dwindling. For that reason, it was important to me to choose somewhere that was owned by people from the area who had chosen to stay and contribute to their community. It's so important that money spent in Pen Llŷn stays in Pen Llŷn so that there's something worth coming back to as a tourist that has value. We followed plenty of Bethan and Pryderi's recommendations for places to eat in the area and further afield, safe in the knowledge that we were supporting other businesses owned by locals, and they were all excellent. Diolch, diolch, diolch. Gobeithio gawn ni'r cyfle i ddod nol rhyw bryd!

We were due to stay here in early April in one of the domes. I (stupidly) had booked the wrong week and Bethan was in touch the day we were due to arrive to check if everything was ok. Upon realising my error, I called and whilst they were not able to accommodate us, they did offer a partial refund. This was absolutely not expected and went above and beyond - this was entirely my fault but their good nature means we will be sure to book again for our next trip to North Wales. Thank you again, Marc, Gemma and Poppy.

Myself, my partner and our Labrador stayed here for two nights earlier this week in the closest dome, and we wished we could have stayed longer. The domes are surrounded by stunning countryside. You get access to a barbecue, fire pit, and wood burner inside. For us it was a perfect balance of being off grid, while still having the luxuries nearby. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed. We even got given a box of goodies and snacks on our first night which was a lovely surprise. The site is beautiful, with sheep, goats and chickens nearby, as well as a stream running alongside the domes. It was a convenient distance to some fantastic areas such as Abersoch beach, Criccieth, and Llandudno. We’re hoping to rebook again in the near future, and bring the rest of the family along next time! Thank you for a fantastic stay!!!

My partner and I stayed in the pigsty, for 3 nights, but both said we wished we’d booked longer. Lovely location - feels like you’re in the middle of no where, but still lots to do in the surrounding areas. Easy to check in and out. Overall really enjoyed our stay.
