About Solfach
Tucked into a working farm on the glorious Llŷn Peninsula, Solfach is a proper rural escape just a 20-minute walk along the Wales Coast Path from Aberdaron's mile-long sandy beach. This small one-acre site keeps things simple but well-maintained, with flushing loos, a hot shower and an indoor washing-up area serving its handful of pitches—some electric hardstanding, some non-electric grass for tents.
The location is the real draw. You're minutes from Porth Meudwy, where ferries depart for remote Bardsey Island, and a short drive from Porthor's famous whistling sands. Seals and dolphins frequent these waters, and the coastal walking is exceptional. Dogs are welcome year-round, though leads are essential on the farm. It's a peaceful, no-frills base for exploring one of Wales' most stunning corners, with the village's two pubs, bakery and cafés conveniently close by.

What visitors say
If you want a peaceful night that only a couple of miles from the last village and a night sky to die for at a really good price then this is your place. The coastal walk is stunning and very accessible if you're not bad on your feet. Michael was more than happy to help with things despite being busy with farm duties.

We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut which was clean, cosy and well stocked with complimentary snacks and milk! The site was very clean, relaxing and surrounded by endless adventures and stunning scenery. The host, Michael was super friendly, genuine and helpful. This spot was an excellent location to unwind after adventuring around the Llyn peninsula. Diolch yn fawr!
