About The Royal Harbour Hotel

Nelson Crescent curves along the seafront in Ramsgate, and it's here, with views over the harbour, that The Royal Harbour Hotel occupies its row of Georgian townhouses. The setting gives most rooms a sea view as standard, with the coast and boats forming a backdrop to the crescent's period architecture.

The 27 rooms are individually decorated rather than uniform, and several come with four-poster beds or private balconies looking out over the water. A cooked breakfast is served each morning, and the on-site restaurant and bar cover meals and drinks without needing to leave the building, while the garden offers a quieter spot outdoors. Extras include a lift, free WiFi, laundry service, meeting rooms and a concierge, and the hotel also takes on weddings.

Free on-site parking is a practical plus in a seafront town where spaces can be tight, and pets are welcome for those travelling with dogs. Beyond the crescent, Ramsgate's pubs, restaurants and other attractions are all within easy reach on foot, making the hotel a straightforward base for exploring the harbour town itself.

Excellent location, great bed, and really helpful owner/manager! They help mail us a item we left accidently checking out. lovely old school hotel with cool maps of history - if you like cool maps, books from the 60's, and sea views, its a good pick. If you come during the peak season, would recommend making reservation for dinner at nearby restaurants as it can get busy. For coffee, highly recommend Giant Coffee

A truly fabulous hotel in a spectacular location overlooking the historic harbour with bucket loads of character! The place is brimming with an eclectic extensive art collection, an array of enticing books around every corner and a lovely games room, lounge and snug on the ground floor leading onto an peaceful private garden. Elegant, very comfortable and felt very relaxed. Perfect.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at this charming hotel overlooking Ramsgate Royal Harbour. All rooms are characterful and filled with interesting furniture & paintings. On this occasion I stayed in a Panoramic Suite with a gorgeous double balcony, four poster bed & high ceiling. Staff are exceptionally accommodating, friendly & knowledgable. They have a clever system for left luggage if you arrive ahead of check-in time or need to leave your bag after check-out. The location is ideal and general surroundings a delight.

Rooms could be more spacious. Shower head was leaking and we had issues with our door lock which had to be replaced however staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The room with balcony and sea view was the best decision we could do as we were having beautiful view towards to the harbour. We will definitely come back to the The Royal Harbour Hotel at Ramsgate.
