About Travelodge Ramsgate Seafront

Travelodge Ramsgate Seafront is a modern, four-floor hotel with 62 rooms set directly above the town's marina on Royal Parade. Its straightforward, functional design suits the seafront setting well, with many rooms making the most of their position by looking straight out over the water.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and the option of drinks kept in-room, and accessible rooms are available alongside a lift serving all floors. Downstairs there's a bar and restaurant, with breakfast served on site, and 24-hour reception for late arrivals. Housekeeping standards can vary, and rooms facing the street can pick up some traffic noise, so it's worth requesting a quieter or higher floor if that matters to you.

Ramsgate's beaches, restaurants and pubs are all within easy reach, and the area also offers golf, fishing and watersports for those wanting to get out and about. Pets are welcome, an electric vehicle charge point is available, and chargeable parking can be found two minutes' walk away at the Royal Harbour car park on Leopold Street.

Sometimes we’re sent experiences to remind us what we have. A stay at Travelodge Ramsgate Seafront is one such experience. You arrive, gazing out at the glorious sweep of the Kent coast, and think: “What a location.” Then you enter the room and remember that geography, however generous, can only do so much heavy lifting. There is no air conditioning, which on a warm night transforms sleep from a biological necessity into a competitive endurance sport. The shower curtain appears to have seen action in several previous campaigns and now bears holes that suggest either wear and tear or a determined attempt at ventilation. And yet. The staff are genuinely lovely. Not performatively cheerful, not reciting corporate scripts, but properly kind and helpful people doing their best. The views are excellent, the sea stretching out magnificently beyond the window, and the location could scarcely be better. Step outside and you’re exactly where you want to be. So this is not a bad hotel so much as a reminder. A reminder of the difference between somewhere you stay because you have to and somewhere you stay because you want to. The sea is beautiful, the staff are charming, and Ramsgate remains delightful. The room, however, is best regarded as a place to keep your luggage while you enjoy the first three things.

I had an amazing stay with my family at Ramsgate Travelodge. The location is perfect, with everything you need close by and easy access to local attractions. The service was excellent from start to finish, the staff were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The room was spotless, comfortable and well-maintained, making for a very relaxing stay. Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection of fresh and tasty options to start the day. Overall, a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ramsgate. I will definitely be returning in the future!

Great location overlooking the harbour and extremely close to the bus stops for the loop bus if you want to explore Margate and Broadstairs. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the harbour and was surprisingly quiet given the road runs right past the front of the hotel. Great value for money, although the breakfast prices can't compete with wetherspoons, which is a few hundred metres away.

Had a really lovely night away in Ramsgate. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We had the meal deal for dinner and enjoyed some drinks during happy hour! The food and service were amazing. We also opted for the unlimited breakfast, a nice variety of food, sausages were very tasty. The room was ok, no issues with it, maybe the ensuite was a little tired looking, but for a cheap night away it was absolutely fine. We had a great view over the harbour which made it feel more special. Overall a great stay, I'm sure we will return during the summer!
