Robin Hood's Bay

I camped at this site so no room booked. It's a well positioned site. It's very basic in terms of no adventure play grounds or shop/cafe on site. It has just what you need. Nice sized, but modern, clean shower rooms with a toilet and full size sink in them. Also a bank of sinks for washing up. And a standpipe for water in the field. I appreciated how the tent camping sections were separated as they gave you a bit of privacy from the next section. I forgot to grab the hosts name but he was friendly and very helpful. He had good local knowledge as well. If you're into birds there were loads of young swallows, Linnets, Wagtails and i saw a couple of Gold finches. It was incredibly peaceful there with great views along the coast towards Robin Hoods Bay. I really enjoyed it. I went on my own for a bit of solitude but I had booked for two nights but my circumstances changed on day two later in the day and I returned home a night early. I highly recommend this place for a simple, peaceful retreat with great access to Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby a short bus journey away. I hardly used the car. I walked or used the bus which was very cheap. I hope to be back with the wife sometimes soon.

Cracking dog friendly campsite sat high on the hill above RHB. A 30 min walk into town (all downhill). Great, clean toilet and shower blocks. Best of all is the peace, tranquility and stunning views. Car Camped with tailgate awning and no hook up with no issues whatsoever.

Wow! What an incredible place. Firstly the facilities were great! I love a HOT shower and I never quite find they go hot enough, so to my surprise I had to actually turn these ones down 🤣! Proper running shower too, not your push button ones. Tons of room to show/dry and dress yourself too in individual private rooms. 10/10. Campsite owner was a pleasure to meet too, proper character, a gem of the north, great stories, funny, friendly. And the rest of the campsite speaks for itself, breathtaking views and also the upkeep and layout is next level cool! What an absolute pleasure 🙏

Our third stay at this campsite and we keep going back. You can’t beat that view. The facilities are great. The showers are HOT and you don’t have to keep pressing a button. A little freezer for ice packs. Plenty of toilets and showers. 25 minutes into Robin Hoods or follow the cinder track the other way down to Whitby. Will no doubt be back again
