We had our wedding at The Elephant Hotel and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, the team were so thorough and easy to work with. When our original coordinator left, I was a little worried, but Daisy and Jesse picked things up and kept everything moving. The venue was also able to accommodate halal meat for our family and provided plenty of non-alcoholic options, which we really appreciated. On the wedding day, Chris, Jesse and Daisy (and the wonderful staff) made sure everything ran smoothly. They helped set up our tea and dessert table perfectly and got everything ready the night before so we could add our name cards, favours and little details. Even when the weather turned and we had to move indoors, they handled it so calmly and kept everything organised. For our guests, the hotel was lovely. Everyone really enjoyed their rooms and loved exploring the village. The food was fantastic throughout, including dinner the night before and breakfast the morning after (as well as the canapes, wedding breakfast and evening food on the wedding day itself). We’re so grateful, they really made the whole day feel easy and enjoyable. A special thank you to Jesse for taking care of me on the day when my blood sugar dropped.

Probably the best dog friendly hotel we have stayed in! The hotel itself is lovely, the staff are great and the food is top tier. The beds were really comfy and we slept really well. But the thing that really made our stay was how welcome we were made to feel with our dog! A lot of places say they are "dog friendly" but all that really means is that dogs are tolerated in certain areas. The Elephant really goes above and beyond and as any dog owner will know, when you aren't worried about your dog you can relax and enjoy yourself. Our room had a dog bed and two dog bowls, some treats, a handy map of local dog walks, some poop bags and a tennis ball! Then at breakfast there were sausages on offer for our dog to enjoy! Our room was in the annex with doors that opened straight into the garden, so plenty of space for roaming and sniffing! It made for such a relaxing stay and we would absolutely recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway with their four legged friend.

We got married here last weekend and it was the perfect venue from start to finish. Jesse was so good to us and nothing was too much to ask. All the staff were very attentive, thoughtful and catered to our needs. We could not have asked for a better venue for our special day.
