Adventure Dolphin Reading

My family and I stayed on the weekend of 11-12 July along with several others. We had the most magical weekend. The setting is beautiful, right by the river, and our children absolutely loved the freedom to safely roam, explore and enjoy playing with friends. It was so lovely to be able to properly switch off and relax. The facilities were fantastic and the campsite is an easy-walk into beautiful Henley-on-Thames. Our bell tent was well-equipped and on a hot day it was so nice to be able to just turn up and move-in: no set-up required! We made some perfect family memories and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for such a special place!!

We stayed Friday to Sunday at Embers in Henley. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful right from the first check-in. The campsite was brilliantly put together and well maintained. Its a great location for paddleboarding by the river. The entertainment was brilliant too. My daughter and her friends will have some wonderful memories.

If not the best campsite I've ever stayed at, then certainly the most fun... Fantastic facilities, Embers knows how to make staying under canvas feel boujis. I'll never go back to not having a freshly brewed coffee (or a cold draught beer) on site! And being able to swim (unsupervised) in the river is the favourite part of our trip. Emma and Steve were brilliant hosts as well - accommodating all our group's special requests (thanks for playing the Norway match!) and visitors (sorry you didn't get your song request played) all while being extremely pragmatic with exactly the right amount of rules, and wiggle room, to make sure the kids and families made some core memories.

Wonderful regatta week @ Embers. Great to be on the “quieter” side of the river with a nice walk down into town. Bell tents were great, and facilities were clean. Staff really helpful with requests & changing tents/dates when we needed to stay longer.
