About Premier Inn Winnersh
Premier Inn Winnersh is a modern, purpose-built hotel with 102 rooms, set out over a practical, low-rise layout typical of the brand rather than any period charm. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and a Hypnos bed, and there are family rooms and accessible rooms among the mix, all with free WiFi and a lift serving the building.
Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar for breakfast and evening meals, with drinks available to order to the room too. Staff are friendly and helpful, though service can be slow at busier times. Rooms themselves are consistently clean and quiet, with reliable air conditioning and good water pressure in the showers - small practical details that make a longer stay comfortable. Free on-site parking is available, including eight accessible blue badge bays near reception, and there's an electric vehicle charge point for those who need it.
The location on Oakdene Road in Reading gives easy access to Legoland and Dinton Pastures, with a pub, restaurant and other eateries nearby, plus fishing and entertainment options within reach for those looking to fill a day out from the hotel.
What guests say
Premier Inn hotels are generally quite consistent, so you know what to expect wherever you stay. Having recently stayed at the Premier Inn in St Albans, I found the Winnersh location to be noticeably better. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and everything was reasonably clean. The décor is fairly basic, but that's exactly what you would expect at this price point. The bathroom was functional and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. One thing worth noting is that the bath is quite high, which could make it difficult for young children or older adults to get in and out safely. The bed was comfortable, and I had a good night's sleep. The shower worked well enough, although I would have preferred an adjustable shower head rather than one fixed to the wall. It's only a minor point and certainly not something that detracted from the overall stay. Although check-in is now largely automated, the reception staff were courteous and always greeted us with a cheerful "Good morning" whenever we passed through the lobby, which added a nice personal touch. Another convenience is the Costa Coffee located downstairs, making it easy to grab a drink or a light breakfast without leaving the hotel. My only real criticism concerns the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom. It was noticeably dirty, as shown in the attached photo, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for quite some time. It's a small detail, but one that housekeeping should easily be able to address. Overall, this was a pleasant stay. The hotel offers comfortable, spacious accommodation, friendly staff, and good value for money. Aside from the cleanliness of the toilet roll dispenser, I found very little to complain about and would happily stay here again.

Great value. Excellent location (to/from Heathrow/London) Room needed cosmetic attention. Bathroom shower black mold on the grout behind the shower curtain, an area that looked like it was to much hassle to clean. Water marks on the bathroom walls. Noisy air con. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Love this hotel! I’ve stayed a few times now and I will keep coming back. The staff are really welcoming and fun to talk to and the rooms are quiet and nice and clean. Just what you expect and want from a Premier Inn. This is definitely one of the best.

On arrival I was greeted by William at check-in, who was polite and well-mannered. Walking through the hallway to the stairs, everything was nice and clean. The bedroom was the standard style I’ve seen in most Premier Inn hotels I’ve stayed in over the last 12 months. The room itself was tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. I have to say that, from my experience, Premier Inn hotels are by far the better budget hotels.
