What guests say
We booked Red Barns B&B in Redcar last minute, having last stayed in 2024, and it was just as excellent as we remembered. The room was lovely and warm, spotlessly clean, and had everything you could possibly need. A small touch that makes a big difference: the option of fresh milk for tea and coffee instead of long‑life cartons such a thoughtful detail. Breakfast was fantastic, generous, freshly cooked, and a great start to the day. It really shows how much care goes into everything they do. Jackie and John are genuinely lovely people. They are extremely friendly and helpful, but never overbearing. You feel welcomed and looked after without ever feeling crowded, which is exactly what you want from a B&B. The location is great too, just a short walk to the train station, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas without any hassle. Overall, a fantastic place to stay. Comfortable, homely, and run by wonderful hosts. We will definitely be back again. Thank you

I stayed here for work as it was one of the only options available in the area but I couldn't have been happier with the quality of the accommodation or the service. The building has been beautifully updated and the rooms are immaculate. John and Jackie provide friendly, attentive service and great breakfasts. It was perfectly located for me, a short walk from the station and the college. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay at Red Barns. I booked on short notice, which wasn’t an issue, and the hosts were very flexible with check-in — something I truly appreciated. Upon arrival, the hosts warmly welcomed me, gave me a tour of the property, shared its fascinating history, and showed me both the common areas and my room. From the very start, I felt completely at home. The room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable — I had the best night’s sleep! It was hard to leave, but I’m already looking forward to staying again. Highly recommended!

I'll start by saying that my partner and I travel a lot, and in recent years, we’ve done a trip across the whole of the UK. With full responsibility and a clear conscience, I can honestly say that this was the BEST place I’ve ever stayed. I’ve rated hotels 10/10 before, but after this visit, the bar has been raised much higher. The place is stunning, very well-kept, clean, and you can tell the owners put a lot of heart into their work. I’d also like to add that the owners are incredibly polite, and nice, and as a guest, I felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The breakfasts are delicious and tailored to individual preferences. The room is spacious, so it’s not like other places where you’re constantly tripping over your own feet. The bathroom is wonderful, and the breathtaking view from the window is simply stunning. I’m truly impressed and recommend it to everyone! The bed was very comfortable, the bedding and towels were very clean and fresh-smelling, and all the necessary amenities were provided. I only regret that we stayed for such a short time :) The fact that they have such excellent reviews doesn’t surprise me at all! I’d also like to add that I really (that is my point of view) appreciate how the owner asked if I would like a change of towels instead of just entering the room, as has happened to me in other guesthouses. Even if I wanted to be very critical and find something to write about here, I simply can't. This place is absolutely perfect in every way!
