Bramley Farm Cottages - The Barn is a converted 19th-century barn sleeping eight across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The ground floor contains an open-plan living space with a kitchen fitted for proper cooking—electric oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine are all here—plus a separate dining area with TV and DVD player. Upstairs, the first bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower; two further doubles each have a pull-out single bed suitable for children. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.

The property sits on 170 acres of managed farmland in the Ribble Valley, within the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Walking starts from the doorstep, and the surrounding area attracts cyclists and mountain bikers. A bridle path runs past the cottage, and stabling can be arranged with the owners. On-site parking accommodates three cars, and there is a cycle store. A shared garden with seating and a barbecue is available to guests, as is a travel cot and highchair if needed. The nearest pub is within a mile. This is family and couple bookings only, and smoking is not permitted.

We stayed in Bramble Cottage! Wow, what spacious lovely countryside accommodation! The kitchen space was just awesome. The place was full of everything you could possibly need. Location is rural - a few miles outside of Whalley, so a car is required. There's a big Tesco a short drive away in Great Harwood which we paid a visit to to get our food for the week. The cottage has big fridge freezer for all the food, no problem! Delightful shared courtyard yard with tables if weather is nice would be lovely sitting out there in the sunshine! The main bed was so comfy! You enter on ground level, and go down a small stair case to front room, kitchen and a bedroom and then from the ground level, up a small staircase to bathroom and two more bedrooms. The area - well, you are right in Pendle Witch Country! Loads of history and if you are able, go up to Pendle Hill for amazing views! Go to Lancaster Castle, St Patrick's Chapel, Lytham St Annes, Dunsop Bridge. Easy to get to the South Lakes too. Owner of the cottages is very friendly. Although there are a few cottages it did not feel busy or crowded in the slightest. The road approaching the farm is a little bumpy for a small part so best to go very slow there. Would very much recommend this holiday home!

Beautiful place to stay in very peaceful and picturesque surroundings. Accommodation 1st class with everything you need for self-catering. The cottage is wheelchair accessible with a downstairs twin bedroom. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of local walks and in easy reach of places of interest, places to eat out and shop.

This is a charming place with the most friendly hosts. They invited our kids to help feed new born lambs, patiently answered questions and took time to make sure we were settled and had everything we needed. The accommodation was just as advertised, very clean, comfortable and well maintained with plenty of space. Visitors need to be aware that the road to the farm is quite steep and narrow in places which some might find a little daunting but perfectly manageable if taken carefully. There is wifi coverage throughout the property but the bandwidth was rather limited. Still, maybe we shouldn't be visiting the beautiful Lancashire countryside to sit around staring at phone's and tablets.
