Carmichael

Carmichael is a one-level cottage built with practicality in mind. Ground-floor living means no stairs to navigate, and the layout flows from a bright open-plan living space through to a conservatory that overlooks an enclosed garden and patio. Two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and a family bathroom complete the accommodation. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with Wi-Fi and parking for two cars.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, gas hob, microwave and a fridge-freezer mean you can prepare proper meals rather than relying on takeaways. A washing machine is on hand for longer stays. There's a bike store if you want to explore by cycle, and an enclosed garden offers outdoor space without a view into neighbours' properties.

Longridge's town centre sits a short walk away—shops, supermarkets, pubs, cafés and restaurants all within reach on Berry Lane. The Ribble Valley beyond offers serious walking country, designated areas of outstanding natural beauty, and quieter market towns like Clitheroe. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are each roughly an hour's drive; Blackpool around 40 minutes. The cottage does not allow smoking. Non-smoking guests only.
