The property is a converted barn on one level, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping four. One has a zip-and-link arrangement of single beds; the other is a kingsize. Both have ensuite facilities—one with shower cubicle, one with bath and shower.

The open-plan living and kitchen space includes a multi-fuel burner for cooler evenings, a Smart TV and DVD player, and a kitchen equipped for self-catering. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Two cars can park on site, and there's an enclosed gravelled area with seating. A bike store is available, and one well-behaved pet stays free.

Bolton-by-Bowland village, with its two greens and pub, is a mile away. Pendle Hill and its historical connections lie within 20 minutes' drive. The gastronomic reputation of the Ribble Valley is built on farmland pubs and restaurants serving local produce, many in the picturesque villages of the Trough of Bowland—Slaidburn, Newton and Downham—reachable within 15 minutes. Clitheroe market town, with its castle, independent shops and dining, is 6¼ miles distant. Smoking is not permitted.
