🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Horseshoe Cottage

Ribble Valley

View on Google Maps

Horseshoe Cottage is a barn conversion adjoining the owner's farmhouse, set among the fields and working livestock of the Ribble Valley. The single bedroom contains a king bed; the ground floor combines kitchen, dining and living areas in an open plan, with a wet room housing shower and toilet. Everything needed for self-catering is provided, including bed linen, towels and wifi, while the essentials like heating and electricity are covered in the rate.

The property sits on a sheep farm two miles from Sawley village, which has a riverside pub and lies close to the ruins of a 12th-century abbey. Walking is the obvious draw here—the farmland and grounds offer immediate access to the countryside, and the wider area takes in Gisburn Forest and its mountain biking trails, as well as the market towns of Clitheroe and Skipton, both seven and thirteen miles away respectively. A hot tub sits on the patio; there is a bike store and parking for two cars. The cottage does not permit smoking, and is booked for adults only.
