Shire Nook
Ribble Valley
The Ribble Valley draws walkers and cyclists year-round, with Forest of Bowland on the doorstep and cycle trails threading through Gisburn Forest nearby. Hurst Green itself is a quiet village with period character—Stonyhurst College sits just around the corner, and the historic Almshouses face the cottage across the lane. From higher ground in the area, the valley spreads out toward the Yorkshire Dales and Morecambe Bay.
Shire Nook is a traditional mid-terrace property with two bedrooms (a double and a single) and one bathroom. The ground floor holds a living and dining room with a woodburning stove and Freeview TV, plus a kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge, and washing machine. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. A garden provides outdoor space. One well-behaved pet stays free of charge.
The village has two pubs within walking distance and several takeaways. The Ribble Valley's food reputation rests on places like Northcote (Michelin-starred) and The Inn at Whitewell a drive away; closer at hand is Holmes Mill in Clitheroe, which combines a food hall, bar and theatre. No smoking inside the property.
