About Field View Bed & Breakfast
Field View is a family-run bed and breakfast in the peaceful village of Higham, a few miles north of Rochester towards the Thames marshes made famous by Dickens' Great Expectations. Established in 2007, it has built a loyal following among visitors wanting a quieter, more rural alternative to staying in the city centre.
Rooms include ensuite doubles as well as standard double and twin rooms, each with tea and coffee making facilities, a television, free WiFi and towels provided, with all rates including a cooked breakfast. Free off-street parking and ground-floor rooms suited to guests with limited mobility add to the practical, welcoming feel of the place.
Higham gives easy access to the Knowle Country House and Little Hermitage countryside, with Rochester's castle and cathedral around a fifteen-minute drive away and Chatham's Historic Dockyard and Bluewater shopping centre both within easy reach.
What guests say
What a beautiful well kept bed and breakfast overlooking the orchards of Higham. Hazel and Sean were the perfect hosts with their sidekick, Sky 🐾. We loved our short stay with them, the location was ideal for us as we visited family in Shorne. I would highly recommend this B&B. We had the room with an ensuite and it was perfect.

We needed to stay one night near to Shorne and found the Field View B & B which was in a great location. Hazel made us very welcome. The en-suite room we had was very comfortable with great views over orchards and the Thames estuary.Hazel’s breakfast was excellent too with plenty of variety.
