About Small Trees Campsite
Tucked into Hampshire countryside just outside Romsey, this spacious pop-up site offers a rare chance to camp wild-style while still having hot showers and proper loos. The large field is ringed by mature trees – pitch out in the open or tuck yourself into a shadier corner – and the lack of artificial lighting means torch-carrying trips to the facilities after dark, but also genuinely impressive stargazing overhead. Kites and buzzards often circle by day, and you can hire a firepit (first-come basis) to warm up beside as the evening cools.
Facilities are temporary but well thought-through: hot showers, separate male and female toilets, washing-up and ice-pack freezing. Wood-fired pizzas appear on selected evenings, saving you the 40-minute woodland walk (map essential) into Romsey for a pub meal. Families, solo travellers and dogs are all welcome – Canada Common is close by for walks – and a local bus stop connects you to Salisbury or Peppa Pig World. The New Forest is half an hour's cycle away.

Lovely little campsite with everything we needed for a couple of nights away with the kids. They loved the rope swing, the space and the fantastic views of the stars at night, we loved the free tea/coffee in the morning, the super clean toilets and toasty warm showers and the incredibly friendly hosts. Would definitely return.

What a stunning little campsite! We initially planned to stay for two nights, but extended for another night as it was so peaceful. Excellent value with access to clean and well maintained toilets. The free tea and coffee in the morning was such a simple, but well thought out touch. Easy to find and great location for exploring and visiting local villages. The owners were so welcoming and were available to answer any queries we had. Would definitely recommend.

We LOVED our stay at Small Trees Campsite. A gorgeous, peaceful and pretty campsite close to the village of Romsey. The owners are so helpful and accommodating, advising us on the best place to camp and make the best use of the rope swing for our two kids. Our dogs loved all the space available and the free tea and coffee was a welcome treat in the morning. We will definitely return and look forward to creating more happy memories soon!

We absolutely loved this spot. Hosts were very friendly, toilets clean and my kids loved the rope swing! Nice touch with the free tea and coffee in the morning. Nice safe spot for the kids to run around and play games. Will definitely return.
