Lovely activity for us to do on a visit to the Isle of Wight from the mainland. I saw the advert on the ferry and we picked up a leaflet then visited the website. Booking online for a small discount was nice and easy and we arrived to find no queue and good opening hours. Once in we had a look around and the Model Village was well kept, clean and tidy and also had toilet facilities which was handy. The visit was lovely and the location was not overcrowded and we thoroughly enjoyed it. To improve I’d say offer a complimentary pencil or pen at the entrance for people to use for the quiz sheet and also check some of the quiz questions as they’re almost impossible to do, let alone if a child was doing it but these are only minor things. The staff were helpful and signage at the venue made it easy to look around. There was a lovely gift shop at the end and we were given a departure farewell upon leaving. Top tip - no parking at the model village but plenty of free parking nearby and down the road, so don’t make the mistake we did by popping it on the sat nav and doing circles around the building looking for a car park! We enjoyed our visit and would certainly consider visiting again. The value for money was good and I’d recommend it to friends and family. Thank you.

This is a gorgeous model village. Obviously the buildings are incredibly detailed, intricate and full of character but what I was most impressed with was the huge variety of trees (pretty much Bonsai trees when you consider how small and well maintained they are). I highly recommend giving this place a visit, followed by a cream tea!

Had a lovely visit to Model Village Godshill during our trip to the Isle of Wight. The attention to detail is incredible — every miniature scene is beautifully. It’s clear how much care and creativity has gone into the displays, and there are plenty of little touches that make you stop and smile.

This is such a beautiful and calming place to visit. You go back in time and explore the Isle of Wight. The beautiful village of Godshill, The Shanklin Chime and various other places but it’s sort of set in the past. The bandstand is playing and there are people playing cricket. I could be wrong though, might be the present day as Godshill is a beautiful village set in pretty countryside and has a lovely church. There is a train which used to go through the village but doesn’t anymore but it was nice to see how it did look. Loved exploring the village and there is a fantastic gift shop too.
